  1. Spirulina- never knew the benefits and neither did the people at Smoothie King ...other than it would cost an extra dollar if I wanted to add it. I stuck to the diet today--lots of honeycomb cereal, a turkey sandwich with baked chips and more cereal.

check up today...no high blood pressure..yeah!!!

    Still standing strong...

  2. Ok, ladies, I made it through day 3. Today actually wasnt to bad. I started the day off by spending it with my Father. I decided to do situps and jumping jacks, but realize that the jumping jacks werent for me, so I stuck with the situps. I didnt eat breakfast, but I had a slice of cheese and toast for lunch with water. For some reason I wasnt that hungry. Im starting to realize that sometime people eat, especially me, just because its time to eat and they arent really hungry. Hmmmmmm. For dinner I had white rice, kidney beans, and guess what? Smoked neckbones!!! And to go along with that I had water, no Pepsi. I have had a constant headache for 3 days now, I think its because my body is detoxing from the Pepsi? I am glad to say that I am sticking with the rules. Its 1:00oclock am, so I am going to bed. Goodnight!!!

  3. Day 3 was good food wise. I ate fruit and yogurt for breakfast. I had a salad for lunch and a salad for dinner. The not so good part is I got a call from my doctor with my lab results from Tuesdays visit. It was alarming. This program couldn't have come at a better time. I have protein spillage in my urine (sorry if that grosses anybody out). The calcium count in my blood was elevated as well. I have to go back in 3 months. I researched some causes of these things and they are not good. I'm concerned about the risk of progressing into CKD (Chronic Kidney Disease) and hyperparathyroidism. I will be asking my doctor about these when I go back. Ladies, I am about 10+ years older than most of you. I have a little more life experience. If I can stress anything to you, those of you who are young and healthy, stay that way! Don't let yourselves go. Make your health a priority. Form good habits now and keep them. As you progess in life and it throws its pressures and curve balls, don't get so caught up in those things that you neglect yourselves. On a final note, while you are cleaning up your diet, don't neglect excercise! The combination of the two only maximizes the benefits to your health that much more.
